This is the nasal care kit I currently use but most of them are similar. |

Get out!
I've always felt that the first few sunny and warm days, after the grayish and cold days of Winter, are truly special. As a kid, it's the day we remove the winter coats and put on the sweatshirt. Most of the times these days run parallel with the beginning of little league baseball. The only negative with this particular part of the year is the attack of seasonal allergies. My daughter gets her allergies so bad that it brings on asthma. Our pediatrician has managed to control it with, you guessed it, medications. We are in the process of coming up with a natural plan, which would include; green juicing, saline nasal rinses and even foods which decrease the symptoms of allergies. I personally battled allergies for years using the usual suspects, Claritan, Zyrtec and others but they would always come back. Two years ago I started using a nasal rinse from the months of March to about October. This combined with my reduction of dairy products, such as milk and cheese, have put an end to sneezing, watery eyes and headaches. I also use the sinus rinse solution when I'm at work after any kind of incident involving a smokey fire or chemical exposure. It's truly amazing how much pollutants and toxins our sinus cavities absorb and hold. If you suffer from allergies and your eyes look like you were watching the movie My Girl when Macaulay Culkin is taken out by a hive of bees. Why did he go back for that ring knowing he was allergic to bee stings? Oh, maybe that was just me but you get the point. You can find the sinus rinse at your local health store or pharmacy. The solutions are all natural and all you do is add distilled water. I didn't start noticing a change until about a week of consistent use. If anyone does try it, feel free to let me know your thoughts. Now, put down your phones and close your laptops and get out and enjoy the sun!
